The problem
A universe that only existed in text.
AURYX was about to launch an RPG of elemental guardians and needed to open the waitlist before the game existed.
There was no character art, just descriptions of five creatures. Without images, there's nothing to make anyone want to play.

Guardians section: one card per element.
The solution
What we did
We created the art direction for the five guardians (fire, forest, thunder, water and cloud), with short AI-generated images and animations finished by hand.
Art direction for the five guardians, with AI images and animations finished by hand.
The landing page shows the universe in one scroll: all five in the hero, a card per guardian, a waitlist call.
Decisions
The 3 key decisions
What we decided before designing, and why.
Characters first, interface second
The page is almost all guardians. The interface stays quiet so it never competes with the art.
Short, looping motion
Three- to five-second animations, light enough to run on the page without slowing the load.
One color per element
Fire in orange, water in blue, cloud in lilac. Color guides people through the cards and hints at each one's personality.

Project
The result
01 All five guardians together: the hero image.
02 Pyrren, the fire guardian.
03 Nyreu, the water guardian.

04 Teslyn, the thunder guardian.

05 Virent, the forest guardian.

06 Nimba, the cloud guardian.
